I was with my partner for a while. A long time, in fact. He was awful to me. Once, we were having consensual sex. I had asked him to put on a condom because I wasn’t on birth control, and I didn’t want to get pregnant. He put on the condom. When it was over, he looked at me and chuckled. I knew that look, that laugh, and I said, “What?” He said he took off the condom during sex and finished inside me. I burst into tears, repeating that I didn’t want to get pregnant. He said, “well, I didn’t want (our son).” That part made it clear his aim was to punish me. I later discovered he had been tracking my periods and, 9 months later, our daughter was born.
